摘要: Purpose: Glioblastoma (GB, WHO grade IV) is the most common primary brain tumor in adults. Survival typically Experimental Design: The survival data on 129 GBs were correlated with results of a detailed analysis 9 genes. These included 3 genes coding for proteins p53 pathway ( i.e. , TP53 p14 ARF and MDM2 ), 4 Rb1 CDKN2A CDKN2B RB1 CDK4 as well PTEN epidermal growth factor receptor. Results: We found that abnormalities any four ) components associated shorter P = 0.002). In combination loss wild-type association was even stronger 0.012). Conclusions: findings indicate knowledge molecular genetic provides important assessing individual patients. As additional advances our understanding genetics cell biology gliomas are made, addition to providing prognostic information, such may also provide targets innovative therapy case.
