摘要: Previous studies have shown that insulin suppresses hyperglucagonemia in animals with experimental diabetes. This observation has raised the question whether pancreatic A cell itself is sensitive. The availability of rich islets opens possibility a more direct approach to this question. effects exogenous on glucagon release, glucose utilization and ATP content were studied from streptozotocin treated guinea pigs. Batches incubated concentrations 3.3 mM, 16.7 mM or plus 30 mU/ml insulin. release was similar at both low high but strongly suppressed when added high-glucose medium.
