摘要: The effects of the trace amine, beta-phenylethylamine, on hydrolysis inositol phospholipids in rat cerebral cortical slices was studied using a direct assay involving prelabeling with [3H]inositol and then examining production phosphates presence lithium. Phenylethylamine exhibited two different effects. Millimolar concentrations phenylethylamine stimulated to about 200% control, while much smaller (micromolar) inhibited noradrenaline(NE)-stimulated phosphate formation dose-dependently. alpha 1-antagonist, prazosin, increases [3H]polyphosphoinositide turnover by NE, though it lesser extent than NE. It appears, therefore, that affects acting as partial 1-agonist.
