摘要: This article investigates the seismic behavior of three full-scale exterior reinforced concrete (RC) beam-column joints rehabilitated and strengthened with externally bonded carbon fiber–reinforced polymers (CFRP). The specimens had inadequate detailing in core zone replicated a real substandard building tested as part EU-funded project BANDIT. Seven tests were performed two successive phases. bare first subjected to reversed cyclic loading assess their basic performance. As these initial produced severe damage core, damaged was replaced new high-strength concrete. subsequently CFRP sheets repeated. results indicate that replacement enhanced shear strength by up 44% over counterparts. ASCE guidelines predict accurately joints. strengthening further joint 69%, achieving comparable designed according modern provisions. Therefore, rehabilitation/strengthening method is very effective for postearthquake typical structures developing countries.
