摘要: The authors describe an optical assay for determination of mercury(II) ion by making use gold nanorods (AuNRs) which are found to aggregate after addition 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP) forming a covalent Au-S bond. Aggregation is accompanied color change blue. However, the 6-MP induced aggregation inhibited in presence Hg(II) results because formation more stable Hg-S different degrees AuNRs indicated variations absorption spectra and from blue brown. Under optimal conditions, ratio absorbances at 780 665 nm varies 1–100 nM concentration range. effect can also be detected with bare eyes. limit detection 0.48 nM. method rapid, sensitive, does not require sophisticated instrumentation. It was successfully applied spiked water samples.
