摘要: UNLABELLED To evaluate volumetric changes (VC) of pontic sites with or without soft tissue grafting over 5 years. MATERIAL AND METHODS Twelve patients participating in a prospective clinical trial evaluating fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) were selected on the basis having received subepithelial connective graft for volume augmentation (augmentation group [AG]). An additional 12 patients, belonging to same study, that had not used as controls (control [CG]). Casts made from impressions taken at prosthesis delivery (baseline [BL]) and years (5-FU) digitized, linear measurements performed assess height (PH), abutment (AH), thickness (TT) buccal side pontics. RESULTS There no significant differences BL between two groups (P > 0.05). The (PHC) amounted loss 0.34 mm (SD = 0.5) 0.35 (0.2) AG CG, respectively. mean VC 5.31 mm(3) (±1.1) (AG) 4.32 (±1.7) (CG). None 5-FU measurements, including TT mesial distal (mAHC dAHC), reached statistically CG However all parameters both < 0.01). CONCLUSION At an observational period years, under FDPs demonstrated similar dimensional stability. CLINICAL RELEVANCE Pontic are volumetrically stable
