摘要: We have determined the complete nucleotide sequence of a 5783-base pair segment adenovirus type 2 DNA, located between map coordinates 15.8 and 31.7. This region adenovirus-2 genome encodes three segments tripartite leader, i-leader two species virus-associated RNA. The established reveals translational reading frames encoded by viral 1-strand which remarkably large coding capacities. One these is 28.9 23.5 hypothetical polypeptide with an estimated Mr = 74,000. in accompanying paper (Smart, J. E., Stillman, B. W. (1982) Biol. Chem. 257, 13499-13506) identified as precursor for terminal protein covalently attached to ends DNA. second open frame starts ATG triplet at coordinate 22.9 predicted 120,400. most likely product N-gene, previously mapped 18.0 22.5 (Galos, R. S., Williams, J., Binger, M. H., Flint, S. (1979) Cell 17, 945-956). r-strand discloses several frames, one within i-leader.
