摘要: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is associated with abnormal eating habits. We examined whether surgical treatment affected allopregnanolone levels and behaviour in nine women PCOS who qualified for Rou-en-Y gastric bypass surgery. Blood samples were obtained to measure sex-hormone-binding globulin, total testosterone, progesterone, allopregnanolone, was evaluated using the Three-Factor Eating Questionnaire before surgery at 6 12 months after Body mass index testosterone decreased, progesterone globulin increased bariatric compared pre-surgical values. In patients anovulatory menstrual cycles, both serum level allopregnanolone/progesterone ratio unchanged The had high uncontrolled emotional scores, low cognitive restraint scores surgery, these improved significantly presurgical correlated eating. conclusion, results suggest that appear be part of mechanism underlying obese by causing loss control over food intake. Roux-en-Y can improve clinical symptoms, may facilitate weight PCOS.
