Using size and number aberrations in plasma DNA for detecting cancer

摘要: Analysis of tumor-derived circulating cell-free DNA opens up new possibilities for performing liquid biopsies solid tumor assessment or cancer screening. However, many aspects the biological characteristics remain unclear. Regarding size profile plasma molecules, some studies reported increased integrity while others shorter molecules. We performed an analysis profiles in patients with using massively parallel sequencing at single base resolution and a genomewide manner. Tumor-derived molecules were further identified chromosome arm-level z-score (CAZA). showed that populations aberrantly short long co-existed cancer. The ones preferentially carried tumor-associated copy number aberrations. These results show ability to use as molecular diagnostic tool.
