摘要: Summary What is known and objective Variation in the expression of drug-response-related genes contributes significantly to interindividual differences drug response. DNA methylation one most common epigenetic modifications that control gene expression. may occur encoding metabolizing enzymes (DMEs), transporters targets, can thereby alter pharmacokinetics pharmacodynamics drugs. In this review, we discuss recent advances pharmacoepigenetics with a focus on methylation. Methods The literature search focusing methylation-related SNPs pharmacogenomics was carried out using PUBMED database combination keywords including methylation, response, DMEs, transporters, target SNPs. Results discussion An extensive range research has contributed our understanding how alters their function. This particularly well studied cancer chemotherapy resistance. The impact polymorphisms miRNAs these processes requires further study. What new conclusion DNA genetic variation an increasingly recognized mechanism for altered drug-response disease susceptibility. These discoveries require assimilation into practice personalized medicine.
