摘要: AbstractCloud processes play a central role in the dynamics of tropical atmosphere, but for many years shortcomings cloud parameterizations have limited our ability to simulate and understand important weather systems such as Madden–Julian oscillation. Since about 2001, “superparameterization” has emerged new path forward, complementing not replacing studies based on conventional parameterizations. This chapter provides an overview work with superparameterization, including discussion method itself summary key results.
