摘要: Abstract We present our research on the Prato Casarile landslide dam in Genoa city to illustrate interactions between slope instability processes and structural stabilization interventions aimed reduce hazard a densely-populated area. Analysis of degradation constructed after flood events 1953, 1970 2014 contributed an improved mitigation strategy. At same time, intensively advanced, regressive erosion quickly proceeded threshold. The discontinuity human geomorphic system, initial reduction, resulted increased threat that combined with rise vulnerability due urbanization expansion. findings underline necessity constantly assessing evolution active involved order determine specific actions required ensure stability dam. Finally, more generally, we illustrated anthropogenic interaction specifically when finalized for mitigation, needs be continuously performed through both monitoring maintenance operation phases artificial structures.
