Eosinophilic fasciitis induced by fire ant bites.

摘要: Purpose: To describe a case of eosinophilic fasciitis likely related to proximate fire ant bites and review the literature summarize etiology clinical, laboratory, histopathological, therapeutic aspects fasciitis. Methods: Report English language using Medline search from 1950 January 2007. Results: We New Orleans woman who developed after post-Hurricane Katrina. A careful confirms an association with unaccustomed vigorous exercise, arthropod bites, borreliosis, among other etiologic agents. Conclusions: Eosinophilic fasciitis, rare disorder unclear pathogenic mechanisms, has been associated borreliosis. Fire should be added list agents for this disorder.
