摘要: Aggregates of cultured neonatal mouse cerebellar astrocytes were implanted into adult sciatic nerves. Two different experimental models used: aggregates either placed between proximal and distal stumps totally transected nerves, or in gaps partially nerves direct apposition with the cut surface stumps. In model where not contact stump, regrowing axons rarely entered aggregates. Where stumps, astrocyte-rich environment. Experimental depression supply Schwann cells available to comigrate regenerating proved be unnecessary: provided an alternative substrate for axons. Some became myelinated by oligodendrocytes which differentiated within aggregates; however, few remained, unmyelinated, long-term association transplanted astrocytes.
