摘要: Abstract Aims Several groups found different impact of erythropoietin (EPO) on liver regeneration. Both pro-proliferative as well anti-proliferative and non-proliferative activities have been reported using high dosage EPO. Systemic administration doses this cytokine is a clinical concern due to risk thrombosis. Herein, we applied EPO in low dosages investigated whether it can stimulate regeneration after resection. Main methods Parameters were assessed 3 days 70% hepatectomy by means immunochemistry proteomics. was given twice (200 600 IU/kg BW). Key findings We showed that facilitated hepatic rats. Enhanced hepatocyte proliferation (Ki67, BrdU-positive cells) observed all EPO-treated groups. By performing Differential Proteomic analysis, identified two proteins which resulted sensitive treatment hepatectomy: Peroxiredoxin-1 glutathione S-transferase Mu 1. Significance Based our results, rhEPO increase the regenerative capacity partial rats enhancing acting antioxidant enzymes. proteomic analysis not previously associated with will aid understanding EPO's response having implications treat failure.
