摘要: The objective of this randomized, controlled trial was to assess whether voluntary participation in a proctored, proficiency-based, virtual reality robotic suturing curriculum using the da Vinci(®) Skills Simulator™ improves performance. Residents and attending surgeons were randomized or non-participation during 5 week training curriculum. Robotic skills evaluated before after an inanimate vaginal cuff model, which participants sutured for 10 min Surgical System. Performances videotaped, anonymized, subsequently graded independently by three surgeons. 27 randomized. 23 completed both pre- post-test, 13 group 10 control group. Mean time intervention 238 ± 136 min (SD) over 5 weeks. primary outcome (improvement GOALS+ score) secondary outcomes GEARS, total knots, satisfactory suture sponge 1 task) significantly greater than unadjusted analysis. After adjusting lower baseline scores group, improvement task remained trend demonstrated score, GEARS knots.
