摘要: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the liver stiffness measurement (LSM) using transient elastography (TE) to predict risk of esophageal varices (EVs) in Chinese patients. METHODS: In total, 46 patients with suspicious or proven cirrhosis underwent TE and biopsy. All participants were endoscopically screened for presence EVs large by two endoscopists who blinded LSM status. Large defined as more than 5 mm diameter. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves both platelet count/spleen diameter (PC/SD) ratio predicting calculated. RESULTS: Of patients, 30 (65%) had including 19 (41%) EVs. The area under ROC curve (AUROC) was 0.85 0.83 EVs, respectively. cut-off values ≥13.4 kPa ≥14.6 kPa Notably, AUROC PC/SD 0.92 but only 0.69 EVs. CONCLUSION: can may identify require endoscopic surveillance.
