摘要: To evalauate the antidiarrhoeal activity of hydroalcoholic extract moringa oleifera leaves. The hydroalchoholic was evaluated using rodent animal models diarrhoea like castor oil and magnesium sulfate induced gastrointestinal motility, in a model enteropooling by administration PGE2, Charcoal meal test. Acute toxicity phytochemical constituents were also been standardized methods. results present study indicates that leaves effective inducing significant protection against experimentally sulfate, as evidenced decrease number frequency, weight stools after 4 hours with respect to control. prevented PGE2 at all doses tested. studies indicated is safe till 2500 mg/kg. though, not ascribed any particular present, general tests performed presence flavonoids, tannis which reported produce activity. These showed Moringa possess anti-diarrheal properties mediated through inhibition hyper secretion motility substantiate its use treatment diarrhea traditional medicines or folklore use.
