摘要: This study was to examine cortical thickness in drug naive, first episode schizophrenia patients, and explore its relationship with serum levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Forty-five naive patients 28 healthy controls were enrolled the study. Freesurfer used parcellate regions, vertex-wise group analysis for whole brain thickness. The clusters regions that demonstrated differences extracted, mean values calculated. Serum BDNF measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). After controlling age gender, significantly thinner found left insula superior temporal gyrus patient compared control (HC group) (p's < 0.001). Lower also HC (p = Correlation showed a significant positive between within (r 0.396, p 0.037) but there no such 0.035, 0.819). Cortical thinning is present indicating neurodevelopmental abnormalities at onset schizophrenia. Left might be an imaging biomarker detecting impaired protective role development
