摘要: • Unilateral rhegmatogenous retinal detachments in 13 cynomolgus monkeys were studied with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). When injected subretinally six eyes, HRP did not diffuse anteriorly into the sensory retina and penetrated posteriorly through zonulae occludentes of pigment epithelium (RPE) only two eyes. In seven tracer was detected after intravitreal injection throughout retina, basal lamina blood vessels, subretinal space, but penetrate RPE. control eyes (with vitrectomy), surrounding inner vessels. These results confirm that RPE vessels remain intact most detachment. Furthermore, staining patterns suggest a directed movement fluid across possible absorption by
