摘要: Lactose-derived prebiotics provide wide ranges of gastrointestinal comforts. In this review article, the probable biochemical mechanisms through which lactose-derived offer positive health are reported along with up-to-date results clinical investigations; might be first article its kind, to best our knowledge. have unique biological and functional values, they confirmed as ‘safe’ by Food Drug Administration federal agency. Medical practitioners frequently recommend them therapeutics a pure form or combined dairy-based products (yoghurt, milk infant formulas) fruit juices. The activities expressed in presence gut microflora, mainly probiotics (Lactobacillus spp. small intestine Bifidobacterium large intestine). Clinical investigations reveal that galacto-oligosaccharide reduces risks several types diarrhea (traveler’s diarrhea, osmotic Clostridium difficile associated relapsing diarrhea). Lactulose lactosucrose prevent inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease ulcerative colitis). lactitol reduce risk hepatic encephalopathy. Furthermore, lactulose, constipation individuals all ages. It is expected present will receive great attention from medical food technologists.
