摘要: Invasive breast cancer is divided into luminal A, B, HER2 overexpression, basal-like (BL) and normal-like subtypes, among which the BL subtype has worst prognosis. The purpose of this study was to determine clinicopathological cytological characteristics (BLBC). Fine-needle aspiration cytology samples from 17 patients with consecutive BLBC were investigated, findings compared those other subtypes (10 cases each) for following cytomorphological features: necrosis; lymphocyte infiltration; mitotic index; apoptosis; naked nuclei; nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio; nuclear margin, size pleomorphism; chromatin granularity density; nucleolar appearance. Histologically, BLBCs heterogeneous, included medullary carcinoma metaplastic carcinoma, in addition invasive ductal carcinoma. Cytologically, high index, nuclei, irregular margin significantly observed when both A B subtypes. Large nuclei nucleoli infiltration frequently seen respectively. Squamous nodules all cases, but not overexpression subtype. Lymphocyte infiltration, squamous metaplasia, such as a or large an presence nucleoli, may be clues indicating BLBC. Diagn.
