摘要: Using data for 25,780 species categorized on the International Union Conservation of Nature Red List, we present an assessment status world's vertebrates. One-fifth are classified as Threatened, and show that this figure is increasing: On average, 52 mammals, birds, amphibians move one category closer to extinction each year. However, overall pattern conceals impact conservation successes, rate deterioration would have been at least one-fifth again much in absence these. Nonetheless, current efforts remain insufficient offset main drivers biodiversity loss these groups: agricultural expansion, logging, overexploitation, invasive alien species.
