摘要: Many genes associated with CpG islands undergo de novo methylation in cancer. Studies have suggested that the pattern of this modification may be partially determined by an instructive mechanism recognizes specifically marked regions genome. Using chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis, here we show methylated cancer cells are packaged nucleosomes containing histone H3 trimethylated on Lys27. This mark is established these unmethylated island early development and then maintained differentiated cell types presence EZH2-containing Polycomb complex. In cells, as opposed to normal complex brings about recruitment DNA methyl transferases, leading methylation. These results suggest tumor-specific targeting pre-programmed epigenetic system normally has a role marking embryonic for repression.
