摘要: Group A rotavirus (RVA) genotype G12 is habitually associated with diarrhea disease (DD) in African children and recently its detection has increased worldwide. total of 970 stool samples collected from individuals DD the Northeastern, Southeastern, Southern Brazilian regions, Eastern coast, were analyzed 321 (33%) positive for RVA these, 241 (75%) genotyped as G12P[8]. The rate positivity was higher among aged 5-10 years old (60%). All infections observed adults >21 G12P[8] (n = 27) showing that this affected older age groups during year 2014 Brazil. Phylogenetic analysis VP7 VP8* strains demonstrated an elevated similarity G12-III prototypes circulating worldwide recently, suggesting lineage global spread genotype, considered 6th most prevalent human nowadays; while other lineages remain sporadically detected usually association P genotypes. revealed belong to P[8]-3 lineage, single P[8] presently country. No major nucleotide/amino acid disparities recovered genes. These data are essential support surveillance studies, particularly countries where vaccine introduced their National Immunization Program enabling identification potential alterations epidemiological profile can impact efficacy vaccination programs.
