摘要: The relationship of thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) and HER2/neu expression in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with multiple parameters including survival were examined. Patients primary NSCLC who had surgical resection follow-up at least 5 years included the study. There 57 patients (38 men 19 women), 44 to 75 old (median age, 61 years); 28 adenocarcinoma (AD) 29 squamous carcinoma. Tumors examined for TTF-1 using formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. Clinical data obtained from hospital records Cancer Center database. Representative tumor sections stained standard immunohistochemical technique commercial antibodies (clone 8G7G3/1, Dako) (polyclonal, Dako). graded as negative ( 50%), based on percentage positively cells. Statistical analyses performed log-rank test, Pearson Spearman correlations, Kaplan-Meier curves. was seen 45.6% all tumors (80% ADs 14% carcinomas). Eighteen showing strong significantly better compared 39 whose showed or weak expression, although many more higher stage AD staining than I AD. did not correlate differentiation considered an independent predictor survival. Seventeen 18 ADs. Only eight (17%) expression; seven these Although show correlation, majority those also staining, mostly tumors. overall longer All disease 5-year stages II III. Hispanic worse Caucasians African Americans. results this study suggest that is may be a useful prognostic tool evaluation NSCLC.
