The aim this study was evaluate EGFR immunohistochemical reactivity CRC biopsies, analyze its relationship with various characteristics survival. Patients methods: A composite score, obtained by multiplying the grade (% positive cells) intensity labeling (0-9) used define patients low or high expression whose clinicopathological features were then compared. Univariate tests multivariate Cox proportional hazards model applied for data analysis. Results: Tissue sections from 150 a median follow-up 40 months examined. Median patient age at diagnosis 70 years (range 38-89 years). 143 (97%) 118 (80%). According analysis, overexpression significantly associated tumor stage, higher percentage T3 than T4 (P=0.003) not overall Conclusions: population TNM (tumor-node-metastasis) stage T3. In context new therapeutic strategy using EGFR-targeted therapies, although remains controversial prognostic factor, expression-stage association may play crucial role decision initiate an adjuvant treatment.
