摘要: Using the monoclonal antibody EGFR1, expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) was investigated immunohistochemically in normal colonic mucosa distant from and adjacent to neoplasms, 25 adenomas 144 unselected colorectal carcinomas. EGFR an inconsistant phenomenon each these conditions. It not expressed 23/44 non-neoplastic specimens 26/44 mucosae colon tumours; 15/25 71 (49.3%) carcinomas failed contain detectable amounts EGFR. In contrast, large were found 4 at both locations, 3 11 (7.6%) The remaining cases showed complex patterns EGFR-expression. comparing close a tumour, only minor differences content observed. intra-individual comparison mode neoplastic epithelium revealed overexpression about one third 44 examined. One no obvious differences, lower levels within tumour. We conclude that is variable reflective inter-individual constitutive rather than abnormalities gene regulation. Statistical analysis reveal correlations between tumour grade, type or Dukes stage.
