摘要: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been shown to a significant role in the progression of several types cancer, including oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). However, biological function and regulatory mechanisms miRNAs OSCC remain be fully elucidated. The aim present study was investigate relevant mechanism. Using microarray, it found that miRNA (miR)‑199a‑5p one most downregulated tissues. A low expression miR‑199a‑5p closely associated with tumor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, tumor‑node‑metastasis stage, overall survival rate. Functionally, overexpression suppressed proliferation, induced G0/G1 cycle arrest, promoted apoptosis Tca8113 SCC‑4 cells. Subsequently, inhibitor nuclear factor‑κB (NF‑κB) kinase β (IKKβ), an important regulator NF‑κB activation, identified as direct target miR‑199‑5p. An inverse correlation between IKKβ Further investigations revealed efficiently abrogated influences caused by miR‑199a‑5p. It also miR‑199a‑5p‑mediated anticancer effects were dependent on inhibition activation. These findings indicate functions suppressor through regulation pathway targeting OSCC.
