摘要: The maximum content of sodium in selected processed foods (PF) Argentina was limited by a law enacted 2013. Data about intake these and other are necessary for policy planning, implementation, evaluation, monitoring. We examined data from the CESCAS I population-based cohort study to assess main dietary sources among PF frequency discretionary salt use sex, age, education attainment, before full implementation regulations 2015. used validated 34-item FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire) discretional use. Among 2127 adults two Argentinean cities, aged 35-76 years, mean PFs 4.7 g/day, higher male low subgroups. Categories with regulated limits provided near half PFs. Use (always/often) at table during cooking reported 9% 73% population, respectively, proportions young people. Reducing consumption target 5 g/day may require adjustments current regulation (reducing targets, including food categories), as well reinforcing strategies such campaigns, labeling, voluntary agreement bakeries.
