摘要: Astrocytoma, the most common brain tumor in humans, is usually malignant and virtually incurable. Two types of astrocytomas can be distinguished histopathologically: anaplastic astrocytoma glioblastoma multiforme. Studies using DNA markers that detect restriction fragment length polymorphisms have shown loci on chromosomes 10 17p are lost frequently from patients, suggesting suppressor genes important tumorigenesis may present 2 different chromosomes. To identify additional regions chromosome loss, we carried out an allelotype analysis 41 patients polymorphism for each arm every human autosome. Loss heterozygosity was found autosome except 21, indicating even greater complexity genomic alterations than reported previously. Many tumors showed loss multiple number involved correlated with histopathology. A high-resolution study these broad a event, particularly An has been only one other tumor, colorectal carcinoma. Different profiles allele were observed carcinoma, genetic events leading to cancers proceed along pathways.
