摘要: Abstract Background and objectives Pertussis is currently an emerging public health concern in some countries with high vaccination coverage. It expected that maternal pertussis immunization could provide newborn protection. We compared toxin antibody (anti-PT) levels women during pregnancy (pre- post-vaccination) respect to the at delivery vaccinated pregnancy. also estimated anti-PT titers primary infant vaccination. Methods Observational study of pregnant Tdap (≥20 weeks gestation) their newborns between May 2012 August 2013. Anti-PT were determined by ELISA blood. Results Pre-vaccination, post-vaccination samples available 132 subjects. Mean age was 34.2 (SD 4.3) years. Median gestation 27.2 (Q1–Q3 21.7–30.8). (≥10 IU/ml) found 37.1% pre-vaccination (geometric mean titer (GMT) 7.9 IU/ml (95% CI 6.8–9.2)), 90.2% (GMT 31.1 IU/ml 26.6–36.3)) 94.7% 37.8 IU/ml 32.3–44.1)). The Lin concordance index 0.8 0.8–0.9). Transplacental transfer ratio 146.6%. At two months age, 66% had ≥10 IU/ml. Conclusions There a correlation mothers newborns, higher which should be sufficient protection against first life. Vaccination seems immunogenic strategy protect until immunization.
