摘要: The intermediate filament nestin is expressed in neural stem cells, neuroectodermal tumors and various adult tissues. In the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, has been reported glial cells. Recently, interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) stromal tumors, thought to derive from ICC. Here we investigated immunoreactivity (-ir) normal human GI with emphasis on Kit-ir Two different antibodies specific for multicolor high-resolution confocal microscopy were used material our tissue collection. staining pattern both was similar. labeled nestin-ir appeared filamentous. Most intramuscular ICC antrum all myenteric (ICC-MP) small intestine nestin-ir, while not detected deep muscular plexus colon, some - but ICC-MP most circular musculature longitudinal submuscular plexus. addition, many Kit-negative regions. Neurons smooth muscle consistently negative, S100-ir nestin-ir. also present CD34-ir fibroblast-like endothelium other cell types mucosa serosa. conclusion, abundantly tract. Among a number types, several, all, subpopulations functional significance tract remains obscure.
