摘要: Abstract Assessments of climate change impacts on species are needed for anticipating potential biodiversity losses. Climate often simulated with envelope models, but most models do not account dispersal limitations. Most studies only consider two extreme (and unrealistic) options: no versus full dispersal. This study attempts to include limitation into the calculation sensitivity scores a range vertebrate and plant species. We calculate -expressed as an index- by using 'spatial turnover' under change, defined projected difference between current future area occupied within region, factor three factors: d 0 (no dispersal), 1 (full dispersal) estimated value calculated directly from specific data literature estimates ( e ). compared across groups European bio-geographical regions in order determine whether explicitly accounting limitations causes significant differences change. Our results show that differ slightly significantly less mobile (amphibian, reptiles, plants). indicates assuming overestimates distribution Europe these species, whereas may underestimates this. However, this conclusion could be drawn more birds mammas: approximately intermediate those dispersal). either or poor capacity should therefore always considered when assessing Disaggregating per reveals regional similar level.
