摘要: Body fat distribution is an important determinant of cardiometabolic health. Lower-body adipose tissue (AT) has protective characteristics as compared to upper-body fat, but the underlying depot-differences remain be elucidated. Here, we proteome and morphology abdominal femoral AT. Paired biopsies from subcutaneous AT were taken eight overweight/obese (BMI ≥ 28 kg/m2) women with impaired glucose metabolism after overnight fast. Proteins isolated quantified using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, protein expression in was compared. Moreover, correlations between cell size both depots determined. In total, 651 proteins identified, which 22 tended differentially expressed removal blood signals (p < 0.05). involved structure organization energy differently depots. Fat size, higher AT, significantly correlated ADH1B, POSTN LCP1. These findings suggest that there are only slight differences It remains determined whether these differences, well activity, contribute functional and/or morphological
