摘要: Abstract In the pancreatic islet, eicosanoids may arise from both cyclooxygenase- and lipoxygenase-dependent metabolism of arachidonic acid. The inclusion inhibitors selective steps in these pathways indicated that cultured neonatal rat islets, arachinodic acid be metabolised through pathways, concurrent with insulin release stimulated by D -glucose, -glyceraldehyde 2-ketoisocaproate. effects suggested products lipoxygenase pathway were necessary for stimulatory nutrients to observed. contrast glucose, where was presence cyclooxygenase, action -glyceraldehyde, 2-ketoisocaproate melittin only minimally affected inhibitors, although it inhibited inhibition. These findings support a major role nutrient-induced secretion, negative or modulatory cyclooxygenase on glucose-stimulated islet.
