摘要: Abstract The separation and retention behavior of five aromatic carboxylic acid isomers was investigated by means high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using a β-cyclodextrin bonded phase with s -triazine ring in the spacer. influence mobile pH on examined. presence moiety spacer enhances greatly selectivity acids. Baseline separations were achieved. In particular, toluic, aminobenzoic, nitrobenzoic hydroxybenzoic successfully effectively separated. chromatographic results indicate that, addition to inclusion complexation, π–π interaction hydrogen bonding between analytes play significant roles these isomers. Different elution orders observed for acidic solutes different substituents. Possible mechanisms are discussed.
