摘要: Abstract We modeled daily variation in the affective circumplex using dynamical systems analysis. Eighteen participants self-reported on dimensions of positive affect (PA), negative (NA), valence, and arousal consecutively for 90 days. Analyses revealed that farther emotions were from their respective mean levels (equilibria), faster they returned. However, did not stabilize near equilibria, but rather waxed waned indefinitely. Constant fluctuation may be a feature normal emotional self-regulation, stabilization relative to range states than single value. When considered conjunction, NA influenced subsequent trends PA, potentially highlighting importance attending threats before approaching rewarding stimuli, valence.
