摘要: Abstract A hydrophilic extract of murici (Byrsonima crassifolia), a fruit native to the North and Northeast regions Brazil, was evaluated in relation its phenolic composition vitro antioxidant potential against some physiologically relevant reactive oxygen nitrogen species. Additionally, protective effect peroxyl radical (ROO )-induced toxicity human erythrocytes also determined. The major compound, determined by HPLC–DAD–MSn, quercetin (2.72 ± 0.35 μg/mL). able scavenge ROO (0.30 ± 0.04 μmol trolox equivalent/mg), hypochlorous acid (IC50 = 10.0 ± 0.1 μg/mL), hydroxyl (IC50 = 7 ± 1 μg/mL) peroxynitrite anion (IC50 = 21.0 ± 0.6 μg/mL 17.0 ± 1.6 μg/mL, respectively, absence presence NaHCO3). Human were subjected oxidative damage, but not inhibit hemolysis, even at highest tested concentration. On other hand, inhibited hemoglobin oxidation (IC50 = 271 ± 44 μg/mL), lipid peroxidation (1000 μg/mL) 48 ± 5%, depletion glutathione (100 μg/mL) 49 ± 2% formation oxidized form 96 ± 4%.
