摘要: Malignant gliomas are primary tumors of the central nervous system characterized by diffuse infiltration into brain and a high recurrence rate. Advances in comprehensive genomic studies have provided unprecedented insight genetic molecular heterogeneity these refined our understanding their evolution from low to grade. However, similar levels phenotypic characterization indispensable complexity malignant gliomas. Experimental glioma models also achieved great progress recent years. transgenic technologies cell culture allowed establishment mouse that mirror human disease with increasing fidelity which support single-cell resolution for analyses. Here we review major types preclinical models, an emphasis on how developments experimental modeling shed new light two fundamental aspects phenotype, origin invasive potential.
