摘要: In this review we will describe eight commonly used rat brain tumor models and their application for the development of novel therapeutic diagnostic modalities. The C6, 9L T9 gliomas were induced by repeated injections methylnitrosourea (MNU) to adult rats. C6 glioma has been extensively a variety studies, but since it arose in an outbred Wistar rat, is not syngeneic any inbred strain, its potential evoke alloimmune response serious limitation. gliosarcoma widely provided important information relating biology therapy. glioma, although generally recognized, was probably still same as 9L. Both these tumors Fischer rats can be immunogenic hosts, fact that must taken into consideration when therapy especially if survival endpoint. RG2 F98 both chemically administering ethylnitrosourea (ENU) pregnant rats, progeny which developed subsequently propagated vitro cloned. They are either weakly or non-immunogenic have invasive pattern growth uniform lethality, make them particularly attractive test new CNS-1 MNU Lewis rat. It infiltrative immunogenic, should useful experimental neuro-oncology. Finally, BT4C ENU BD IX following cells until tumorigenic clone isolated. This studies evaluate Avian Sarcoma Virus (ASV) tumors, continuous cell line derived from one designated RT-2, de novo induction requirement. These also limits usefulness studies. essential recognize limitations each described, depending upon nature study conducted, appropriate model selected.
