摘要: Abstract The limits of copper homeostatic regulation in humans are not known, making it difficult to define the milder effects early excess. Furthermore, a robust assay facilitate detection stages excess is needed. To address these issues, we assessed changes relative mRNA abundance methallothionein 2A (MT2A), prion (PrP), amyloid precursor-like protein 2 (APLP2), Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD1) and its chaperone (CCS) peripheral mononuclear cells (PMNCs) from healthy adults representing 5% highest lowest extremes distribution curve serum ceruloplasmin (Cp) concentrations 800 individuals. intracellular Cu content was also determined. PMNCs were isolated individuals before after exposure single daily dose 10 mg (as CuSO 4 ) for months. Results showed that although there fluctuations Cp values samples exposure, no significant differences observed cell or MT2A, PrP APLP2 transcripts PMNCs. Also, modified supplementation. However, CCS SOD1 levels reduced supplementation with high values, suggesting they should be further explored as biomarkers moderate overload humans.
