摘要: Identification of groundwater potential zones needs an understanding different hydro-geological parameters the concerned region. This present study done on Gandheswari watershed West Bengal is mainly based RS and GS techniques. Seven important are taken into consideration namely geology, lineament, slope, drainage, soil, rainfall, land use cover which mutually interdependent to each other in development process. Satellite image Landsat-8, SRTM-DEM USGS, rainfall data IMD, topographical sheets SOI, geological map GSI, soil NBSS&LUP collected processed as per requirements ArcGIS, Erdas Imagine PCI Geometica software create or extract layers for all parameters. The MIF technique applied assign weight parameter its level influence All now integrated together adopting weighted overlay method ArcGIS software. prepared final shows watershed. An accuracy assessment fluctuation last 10 years (2018–2009) from CGWB calculating Kappa co-efficient validate study. reveals that area 275.9 km2 (69.86%) found be good prospect groundwater. overall calculated 84.62%, while result 88% same.
