Exploring total quality management applications under uncertainty: A research agenda for the shipping industry

摘要: The present study explores total quality management (TQM) implementation in shipping companies by identifying the TQM practices adopted them as well respective results. Determining relationships among factors and results, especially under moderating effect of market or environmental uncertainty, is also an aim this study. Evidence drawn using data from 87 major based Piraeus/Greece, exploratory factor analyses are carried out to extract five four results latent factors. that significantly influence further determined through multiple linear regression analyses. Results reveal a set strategic choices focusing not only on strict ISM rules procedures, but toward continuous change leadership culture aiming achieve better Finally when uncertain environments experienced perceived, shift more agile approach prerequisite for success. This article describes reliable valid model applied service sector way improve their business performance.
