摘要: UNLABELLED Effect of montelukast on the renal dysfunction induced by cisplatin was investigated. A single dose (7 mg/kg, i.p.) nephrotoxicity, which manifested increasing sensitivity isolated urinary bladder rings to acetylcholine (ACh) together with a significant elevation serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, and lactate dehydrogenase. On other hand, albumin significantly decreased. Moreover, further confirmed increase in lipid peroxides that were measured as malondialdehyde (MDA) kidney tissue homogenate. Kidney reduced glutathione (GSH) content superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity measured, decreased increased, respectively. Administration (10 mg/kg/day, p.o.) 5 days before after injection ameliorated renotoxic effects cisplatin, judged reduction responses ACh. The deleterious changes treatment function parameters oxidative stress markers mitigated treatment. CONCLUSION Montelukast may be beneficial remedy for cisplatin-induced dysfunction.
