摘要: AIMS AND BACKGROUND The advantage of administering chemotherapy by hepatic arterial infusion is the achievement high drug concentrations in liver. Oxaliplatin, irinotecan and 5-flourouracil are active agents advanced gastric cancer. Therefore a retrospective analysis was performed to investigate effects these drugs administered heavily pretreated cancer patients with predominant metastases. Very limited data about exist western patients. METHODS Seven were included analysis. All had proven progressive disease prior initiation infusion. an ECOG performance status < or =2 received at least two previous systemic regimens, including combination cisplatin/5-fluorouracil. Patients given infusion: 5-fluorouracil, 600 mg/m2, together folinic acid, 300 mg/m2/2 h, followed oxaliplatin, 85 every 2 weeks. RESULTS Fifty-four cycles (range, 2-21) median treatment duration 6 7 feasible safe, no grade 3-4 toxicity observed. One patient showed stabilization liver metastases over months. In there radiologically after time 10 CONCLUSIONS Chemotherapy modestly effective Hepatic has very favorable profile can be safely even elderly It might additional therapeutic option should further investigated. literature on reviewed.
