摘要: We investigated a phenomenon called judgmentalovershadowing. Subjects predicted whether each of several patients had disease on the basis or not patient two symptoms. For all subjects, presence was moderately contingent one symptoms (Sl.).In Condition 1 our first experiment, ofthe dis ease highly other symptom (S2). In 2, pres ence independent S2. Judgmental overshadowing occurred in that Sl contingency judged to be stronger 2 than 1. Subsequent experiments showed judgmental depends little form judgment, is due response bias contrast effect, and does depend subjects' actively diagnos ing patient. These results are consistent with, generally by, an associative learning model judgment.
