摘要: Adequate animal glioma models are mandatory for the pursuit of preclinical research in neuro-oncology. Many implantation have been described, but none perfectly emulate human malignant gliomas. This chapter reports our experience standardizing, optimizing and characterizing Fischer/F98 model on clinical, pathological, radiological metabolic aspects. We specifically analyzed H&E staining immunohistochemistry GFAP, vimentin, albumin, TGF-b1, TGF-b2, CD3 CD45. also used MR imaging at 5, 10, 15 20 days to correlate with clinical pathological evolution. 18F-FDG 11C-acetate PET studies characterization tumors were assessed. The standardized described this study behaves a predictable reproducible fashion, could be considered future pre-clinical by investigators. It adequately mimics behavior astrocytomas.
