摘要: Distribution data on biodiversity features is a major component of conservation planning that are often inaccurate; thus, the true distribution each feature commonly over- or underrepresented. The selection sets may therefore lead to variability in spatial configuration and size proposed reserve networks uncertainty regarding extent which these actually contain they were identified protect. Our goals investigate impact choosing different propose novel methods minimize about target attainment within reserves. To do so, we used common prioritization (richness mapping, systematic design, approach integrates multiple types data) three mammals (predicted models, occurrence records, combination two) simulate establishment regional reserves for state Arizona (U.S.A.). Using results simulations, explored placement as function set. Spatial overlap with only predicted never exceeded 16%. In pairwise comparisons between created all data, achieved 50%. required meet targets also varied type goal; largest system was 10 times smallest. highlight employing identify tools application existing can attainment.
