摘要: Limonin is a bitter triterpenoid dilactone in the genus Citrus with potential medicinal value. In this study, metabolism of limonin human was characterized by high-performance liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-Q-TOF-MS). A total 7 metabolites were identified from samples. Among them, 3 M1, M2 and M4 detected urine feces, others found intestinal bacteria sample. Notably, M1 M3 chemically synthesized, which structures further confirmed NMR spectra data. The involved three major pathways, namely, reduction, hydrolysis methylation. reduction commonly observed ring D limonin. showed decomposition A. This study provides data for humans, will contribute to explain its biological activity.
